What to do if I put my sims 4 dlcs all on my husbands account

So I’m at a complete loss on what to do here. In 2019 my brother gifted me and my then Fiancé an Xbox one for our engagement. My fiancé bought me the sims 4 disk and added it on his profile. From there every time I’d save up or he’d save up and we’d get a dlc to add to the game. Hundreds of dollars later I have most of the dlcs and finally my now husband has his own console so I can have the Xbox. I have my own account and have since xbox360 but it didn’t have Xbox live at the time so we didn’t bother putting sims on it. Now I’m all set up but all my dlcs are on his account and I can’t use them if he’s playing on his xbox. I can’t afford to get all the dlcs onto my account, we saved to afford all the ones I have now.

  • Hey there @ExploringKay,

You should be able to set up game-sharing so you can access all the DLC on his account while he's online with his console at the same time.

First, you'll need to set up your accounts as a Family Plan, and once you've done that, go ahead and set up game-sharing. This should allow you to game-share together while both being online at the same time.

If you want to play the expansions while your husband also does you will need to purchase them on your own account. I think the Christmas sale is still on so you can get them cheaper now. The base game is now free to play so you can just install that.

This is always the problem if you share an account. It is not only for sims, its almost for all games. Sadly, you need to buy it again.

I would never recommend sharing an account, especially for a game which you love and is expansive as it is for sims. Another problem is if the shared account gets banned just because your share partner has a bad day you suffer too. You can do nothing as person, because account sharing is *official* never a legal option (self for kids you should make they own child account)
