@stunnamamii The game installation via Origin/EA App is nothing to do with your user data folder and creating a symlink.
I've merged your posts into the symlink thread.
Trash that white file on the external drive as it is a broken symlink and start again. The symlinked Electronic Arts folder should be in your local Documents folder, not on the external drive. Your Electronic Arts folder containing your Sims 4 folder (your user data) should be on the external and then you create a symlink to it in the Documents folder. Looks like you have done it the wrong way round.
