So a few days ago I had to update the EA app and after every update I have to download the Sims all over again. A month ago I followed BluebellFlora's tutorial on how to create a symlink for the EA folder and it worked perfectly. But today when I had to download the game again because of the update I stupidly forgot to plug the SSD and I'm afraid I messed up the symlink. Now when I try to open the game I get the error "the Sims 4 already running". I decided to reverse the symlink and do it again, following BluebellFlora's tutorial again, but when I place the second command in terminal it says that there's no such file or directory. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do from here, any help or advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.
I also forgot to tag @Bluebellflora
A little update: After running this command of the symlink reverse: mv ~/Documents/Electronic\ Arts ~/Documents/Electronic\ Arts_bkp it created the new alias folder with _bkp, and since it did not let me run the second command from the tutorial I just tried to open the game and it worked, creating a new EA folder in my document folder, so I decided to try to create a symlink again. After inputing the first command in terminal (mv ~/Documents/Electronic\ Arts /Volumes/TRANSCEND/) I got the usual message of "terminal likes to acces.." I clicked allow and then in terminal it said permission denied and no matter what I try it says the same. I will include a screenshot of the terminal window.
