BRAND NEW MODS WONT EVEN WORK HELPPP

So recently I've deleted and reinstalled sims 4 and I want to put mods back into my game (side note my sims 4 game is on an external drive ) I also have a Mac 2013 air but anywho when I try to put them back even new ones a error code of 603fg or something like that and it tells me "this file seems corrupted you may need to repair and reinstall the game " I have done both of those things over 10 times and nothing has worked I even looked up fresh new mods still the same thing its like an ongoing error cycle any info would help please !!! ( EA I just wanna play sims :) have a blessed day or night !

    keishnow have you created a symlink to store the Sims 4 folder on the external drive or have you installed the game on the external drive, or both? What format is the external drive?

    how do I check for symlink , I played my game on MacBook via external hard drive for months after a update in 2024 my mods have not worked I really need help

    roxieann19 you don't "check" for a symlink. You either know whether you have created one or not. It is a manual process the user goes through to store the Sims 4 folder, NOT the game installation, on an external drive.

    Do you have a solution to mods not working at all and I’m using a external harddrive which had a symlink when the external harddrive was installed to begin with mod worked fine one of the updates made the mods not appear anymore .. so I’m looking for solutions to resolve this problem
