Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted

Hello,

I can't open my sims game because of a mod I had downloaded and I still can't open the game after :

1. removing from the mod folder and deleting the mod file from my computer completely 

2. repairing the sims multiple times

3. deleting all sims files and redownloading the entire game to start from new

I'm at a loss of what to do now. I've done everything I can think of to fix the game. I've redownloaded everything and also restarted my Mac as well in case that was the issue, but it's not. I don't understand how to fix this issue. The message was : cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a Mod please remove it and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin. I have deleted it and I have reinstalled, what else can I do?
