cant downloadSims4

my daughter is having issues on her mac playing Sims4. she has had installed previously but it suddenly stopped working. she cannot download now and is getting a numbers of errors. 

the issues has been 3 different scenarios:

when trying to open the ea app it says “failed to log on - the app couldn’t connect to EA servers. error code EC:10005

other times it connects to the app but will not download sims. it either appears to start downloading but doesn’t or just won’t download

if i do get the ea application to load and try to install Sims 4 then it says installing but stays at 0% and says i have internet issues but my mac is connected to the internet

can anyone help as i’ve tried reinstalling the app and also tried several security settings. this is stopping us from playing the game
