Cats and Dogs Add On Issues (MAC)

I purchased the cats and dogs add on for the sims 4 and it is letting me access the world just fine. However, I can only access the plot my house is on and the lot the vet clinic is on. When I try to travel to any of the pre-made lots, like the museum, lounges, bars, and park, it will not work. When I try to travel to these places, it sounds like my game loaded in, but my Mac gets stuck on the loading screen and then I cannot do anything on my Mac unless I force it to sundown all the way.
