@Bluebellflora Hi, When I opened BBEdit yesterday to open Options.ini, I was surprised to see that Camera.ini was still open. This is mostly because when you completely quit the app, all files close out, too. After I was done with both files, I closed each one out first, then quit BBEdit. I re-opened BBE again. No files were open. I quit the app, then re-opened Camera.ini, and all of the IgnoreLotLevel lines equaled "true." CGrant56 made a good point that the camera was most likely programmed to bounce from level to level in order to "help" you. It's frustrating. I'm going to use the TS3 camera to see if it does the same thing, but I don't recall it bouncing around when I played TS3. Thanks for letting me know about right-clicking the app and viewing the content. I'm on a Mac, so I had to use the Control key instead, but I found Camera.ini immediately! @nanogirl88 Unfortunately the EA App team decided to do the final EA App rollout at the same time TS4 received a patch which isn’t helpful and has confused users who think their issue is EA App related when it isn’t. @CGrant is right, there is no link between the camera files and the migration from Origin. Can you quit out of BBBEdit, closing all files then open the Camera.ini file again? You need to right click on the Sims 4 app, Show Package contents and navigate to Contents > res > Camera.ini. This has not changed at all since EA App was introduced. EA App has had no effect on the base game files.

In an earlier reply to this thread, I posted screenshots of the three "IgnoreLotLevel = true" values in my .ini document.EA made the transition from Origin to EA app seamless for Mac users. I was impressed. I only have one The Sims 4 folder with all of the files you're supposed to have.For the past couple of days, I've been designing a new house on the Summer House lot in Windenberg that is four stories tall. So far, there has been no camera bounce. I'm guessing the bounce doesn't happen on all multi-story lots, only on certain lots that also have multistory structures. For instance, all four lots in the Pendula View neighborhood in Oasis Springs have camera bounce. The Fountainview Penthouse has camera bounce. There are other lots, too, but it's been a long time, so I'm not sure which lots those were. Probably all are in Oasis Springs.I wanted to add another note: I try to avoid using CC as much as possible. There's a CC frameless window set I love, but I only used it on two lots. Yes, those are two of the bouncy lots. The remaining six or seven bouncy lots don't have any CC.Thanks for all of your ideas! Enjoy your weekend!

You're a rockstar!Most of the time I'm building or playing live mode, I have the walls partially up. I wonder if that might make a difference in your experiment.I don't use a modded map. I barely use CC. There isn't any CC on the majority of the lots where I've experienced the bouncy camera. The CC is a set of frameless windows I downloaded within the past few weeks. The bouncy camera goes back long before this.Thanks again!

@nanogirl88 Yep, that’s how BBEdit works, the files are loaded when you open it but you can click on the little X’s next to each one in the left sidebar of the app to close them. You can use TextEdit to open the files too.You can set up right click with two fingers in System Settings > Mouse/Trackpad (whichever one you use) . It’s called Secondary click.TS4 camera has always been like that but changing the value in the Camera.ini file should have helped.

Yes, I meant to add that even though I tried using the TS3 camera it still was bouncy.
A lot of us wish EA would change this. A bouncy camera doesn't help. It's jarring and disorienting.

I've just tested in my game after changing the IgnoreLotLevel to true and it's working as expected. Did you definitely save it and when you re-open it's showing as true? I tested on a multi level lot I built in Chestnut Ridge.

You don't happen to have more than one installation of the game on your Mac/external drive? Sounds crazy I know but this can sometimes happen when people change the installation location in Origin/EA App without moving the game first. The game will then re-download so they end up with two copies installed and edit the wrong game files.

I tested one of these lots in my game, no bounce.

I've posted some videos on YouTube that show the camera bouncing. I’ve been taping these over the past few weeks.

I tried posting the links here but kept getting error messages. It sounds like I need to edit the HTML in order to do it, but I don't have time to figure that out.

Anyway, my username on YT is @nancyjonesfrancis9144 .

Most of the videos are of the same structure/lot location from different days.

The camera bouncing is happening in every lot where I create a multi-story building. Recently, it even happened when I was working on a single-story split level.

This issue can’t be lot/world-related because it’s happening all over the place. More details are noted in the descriptions of each video.

Since September, the camera bounce has occurred in every world I’ve designed new houses: Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Tomarang, San Myshuno, Del Sol Valley, and Windenburg.

The camera doesn’t bounce when I put it in birds-eye view mode, but you can't stay in that mode.

Before adding this update, I double-checked to make sure that all of the IgnoreLotLevel commands in Camera.ini equal true. They do.
