EA not loading Sims 4

My sims game was working fine yesterday. I tried to play today and the game needed and update clicked update and the EA app decided it didn’t want to work. Came up with an error saying ‘damaged or incomplete’ so I deleted it and reinstalled the app. I’ve repaired my game and tried everything stated in the forums. I’ve even removed my mods and the game still won’t load. I play on Mac and my mouse just keeps spinning for ages it never takes this long to load!! Please can someone help as I’m extremely upset about the circumstances!!!
