Hey, I had the EXACT same issue! — first-person camera suddenly became perfectly level/stabilized with no more tilt or sway following the Sim’s movements. (Which I personally love)
I figured out a workaround that brings back the realistic fluid version:
- Turn on Sims 3 Camera mode (camera icon top-right or Ctrl + Shift + Tab).
- Completely quit the game.
- Load back into your save with Sims 3 Camera still enabled.
- Then switch back to Sims 4 Camera.
- Press Shift + Tab to enter first-person.
The natural head tilt/roll/sway should be back. To keep it working, make sure you quit the game while Sims 3 Camera is on.
Hope this helps! It fixed it for me every time it randomly resets. Please let me know if this worked for you.
I only play in sims 4 camera mode, but to get the realistic camera roll/tilt I had to do the steps above. And it ONLY works when you enable it, and leave the game and load the game with sims 3 camera ENABLED while loading the game, but once it’s loaded, you can switch back to sims 4 camera. So whenever you leave the game, make sure sims 3 camera is enabled.
