Game crash makes my whole computer freeze

Yesterday I did also contact the EA helpdesk and they said I could best delete my whole game. (I did save my saves) They said then to redownload it and try whether it solved the problem. So I will try to install the game again today, and I will react on this message if the problem is gone. Otherwise I will try everything you said.

Over the last couple of days I tried playing again with the re-downloaded game. In the beginning everything went smoothly and the first 2 days I had no problem. But the days after my game froze again, and again the only way to quit the game was by force quitting my whole computer. The only difference is that now I can’t see anything actually change on my screen but I hear that I am clicking things in game like pause or play. Just like that I could fortunately find the save button (the top one of the menu fortunately). So I didn’t lose any gameplay. But I still had the same kind of problem. I even tried quitting the game but then my screen completely froze in the black quitting screen.

First I thought I knew what the problem was, but after readjusting it still kept on happening. I namely adjusted my GUI (I think it’s named like that). Like the text and buttons around the screen, I made them appear smaller.

I have an 27 inch iMac from 2017 (bought 2018). The latest macOS version is 13.7.4.

By reinstalling my game, it made a whole new folder so it was a complete clean game.

And before I did try repairing the game but it did not change anything of the problem. 

knpower2 No, uninstalling and reinstalling the game does not create a new clean Sims 4 folder. Please read the instructions I have provided to you.

It did create a new folder, I checked. Before opening the game I renamed the old folder. So I was not able to see my old saved game.

knpower2 yes. You renamed the Sims 4 folder which forces the game to create a new one but this has nothing to do with you uninstalling and reinstalling the game, they are two completely separate things.

After renaming the old TS4 folder and managing to play for 2 days did you replace any of the files in the new folder with files from the old folder? For example, did you move over your saves? Or Mods? Did you change the default graphics settings in-game?

I did not replace any files. 
I did chance the scale of the text and everything like the pause buttons and everything. (UI?) I thought as well that was the problem. But than I changed it back to the normal default scale and it still was a problem. Is that the problem? 

It's the same here. Sometimes, the game crashes without error, or it freezes everything, and I'm forced to force shut down. I have done EVERYTHING that was suggested.
