I have been playing every night the past week and every night my game has been crashing 2-3 times a night. I updated the game on May 22nd. My game crashes every once in a while but never this much every day. I don't know what any of it means, how can i fix it? I have restarted my laptop, the app and deleted all the files and downloaded them again. I never use CC or Mods.
I've had the same problem after the June 30th update and I narrowed it down to sims drinking coffee while having the stranger ville hero trait. As soon as the moodlet of my sim changed my game crashed every time on characters that had the trait. Maybe it's the same for you? I removed the trait and have been avoiding using coffee makers in my builds now and that solved my problem. No crashes since then. Before it was happening every few minutes.
The info in your screenshot is extremely limited but it may be that you're experiencing memory issues. You're running a fairly old version of macOS. Which specific Mac do you have? Apple > About this Mac.
You have Chrome running, which is a huge memory hog, make sure it is closed when you play. In the top right of the menu bar you have a couple of icons I don't recognise that are running. What are these? Could they be using resources that are limiting the processing and memory that the game needs to properly run?
