Game keeps freezing

Me too. My game has been completely unplayable for weeks now and I'm so frustrated!

It seems to happen when I move the camera to the same section of specific lots. For example, I can play unpaused and move around on the right side of one lot but as soon as I move the camera towards the left, the whole game freezes. I can hear the sound effects as if the game is continuing and the mouse icon changes to interact with objects but the visual is frozen.

I've tried all the same things as you, though I don't play with CC or mods. I repaired the game, moved the Sims 4 folder and started a fresh file. I thought this was working at first and I was able to move in a household from the gallery. Placing the lot I had been living in caused the issues to start again so I deleted the entire save and tried again with just the household. I rebuilt the lot and as soon as I unpaused and tried to move the camera, it froze again.

This happens with the 3 save files I use the most in my original game file. One is my legacy family that I had living in a 4 unit apartment when issues began. Another save is a tiny town that I have built up from 1 unit to 6 on a residential rental lot. I know there are issues with residential rentals and I wonder if one of these saves became corrupted and infected the rest of my game.

I'm in the same situation. I can build a house but as soon as I start to play with the family especially if travelling, the game crashes and from there it becomes unplayable as it keeps on freezing and crashing. I've tried erasing old files, starting new games, repairing on the EA app, uninstalling and installing it again and it doesn't work. I can't emphasise how frustrated I am and I tried to contact EA Help to see if they could fix it but I have been waiting for a reply ever since. I'm kind of hopeless as this point.

im honestly gonna be done with the sims 4, cause every time theres an update or anything. It's like it doesn't work anymore. Like the sims 4 is becoming unplayable atp
