Game wont open application not responding

I'm really hoping someone on here could help me. I noticed that my game wasn't letting my Sims use the bathroom, so I updated and repaired it. After I decided to buy two expansion packs, the new royalty one and City Living. After I downloaded these, the game wouldn't open at all. I removed all my mods, downloaded the game again after deleting it. I updated my MacBook and cleared storage; everything re-downloaded, but the game still won't launch. I just get the Spinning Beach Ball of Death. Someone mentioned having a different place where the game boots up, but I'm not sure what to do. I also don't know how to report that the game won't open at all, and I talked to AI for five minutes, and it just asked me the same questions over and over, making me explain myself. Please help me, I've been crying for three days.
