gets stuck at blue screen with plumbob

I have a macbook air and i am trying to play the sims 3. I have Late Night, Seasons, Supernatural, Showtime, and Island Paradise installed as well. When i open the sims 3 it automatically shows Islan...

    @allisonmoss el capitan is the name of the latest version of Apple's OSX.
