I’ve already tried using the origin reset tool, and I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled both origin and the sims. I’ve never touched the location of the folders or anything so I’m unsure why it would be triggered to redownload them. Is it possible it’s another issue?
Origin will try and re-download packs if it cannot find the DLC in the folder. How big is the Sims 4 Packs folder? Is it read only?
What is the game installation file path in Origin > Installs & Saves and what is the file path of the Sims 4 app and Sims 4 Packs folder, do they match exactly?
When you uninstalled Origin did you run the reset tool or manually trash the library files? Or just drag the app to the bin?
(lots of questions, sorry 🙂 )

Sorry, what do you mean by how big is the folder? As in ssd? And I do not believe it is read only.
I can’t currently access origin to view the installation path D: every time I download it, once I open the Sims 4 once, origin becomes super glitchy and refuses to launch.
I manually trashed all of the library files when I uninstalled after the reset tool didn’t help the glitchiness.
Sorry I couldn’t be more specific!! I really appreciate the help

I mean how big in file size is it? Click on the Sims 4 Packs folder once then go to File > Get info to get the file size.
Weird about Origin. Can you set up a new user account on your Mac and try to open Origin in that account? I think Origin is the issue, not the game.- 6 years ago
Super sorry for the late response! I just made a new user account and downloaded origin again (I had it uninstalled again after it didn’t work the second time.) It’s working smoothly, but I’m unsure if anything has changed because it only became glitchy after running the sims, which I no longer have installed. Should I try to install it under the new user account?
