Macbook Air Origin install issue

I have downloaded Origin and ran it, and dragged into my applicaitons, but once it runs it doesnt open. when i try to force quit Origin it will not quit. the furthest ive gotten to running Origin set up is the terms and agreement page, after that it quits.

this is the type of macbook i have, im fairly certain i meet the requirements of the mac installment. when i try to move origin to the trash, it states that its still open, but when i try to do something else, it says its not opened.

All i want to do is play sims 4 that i just purchased, and this is getting frustrating because ive looked at multiple threads and none of them have been able to help. i restarted my computer and deleted origin and reinstalled it, and the same thing happens. i have also run the origin reset which has done nothing. please help in any way you can, im not computer smart and this is my first time buying an EA game or online game in general.

Please run the reset tool again, drag Origin from your Applications folder to the trash, empty the trash and restart your Mac. Next, set up a second user account (must be an Administrator account) on your Mac and download and install Origin in that account. Now see if it works.

To set up a new user account:

Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups. Click on the lock in the bottom left corner and enter your password when prompted. Then click on the + button above the lock. In the pop-up window select a new Administrator account, give it a name and password then click Create User. Close System Preferences and anything else you have open then click on the Apple in the top left corner and log out. Now log in to your new account, open Origin and log in then launch the game.
