[READ FIRST] Saves, CC/Mods or Library items disappeared? iCloud issues

I recently re-downloaded Sims 4 on my Macbook, and started a new game, which i played for quite a while. After ensuring that everything was saved, i closed the game . When i came back to resume the game, everything was deleted, and it seemed as if I had never played the game before (i could only create a new sim, not resume the game). I made a new sim, started pkaying, and the same thing happened. I am absolutely sure that i saved everything as usual (multiple times even) and the same thing keeps happening?? Help
