I was cleaning my mods folder because I received an alert that my storage was almost full. I'm not sure what I did but someone my sims 4 folder is inside of my iCloud I don't believe it was at first because I use to access it from finder>documents>electronics arts>sims 4. Now my sims 4 game will not launch at all I've tried everything. I want to move my sims 4 back to where it was originally but when I tried it deleted everything and I lost my saves, tray and mod files. How do I move my sims 4 folder out of my iCloud and relaunch my game?
PS I have bought more storage and my game still will not open.
I was able to start my game my mod and tray files were there but my save files are gone. Is there anywhere to recover the save files?

Have you looked in iCloud? If Optimise Storage is enabled your files may be pushed to the iCloud Documents folder so the game cannot read it.- 2 years ago
Yes I checked they are not in iCloud. How do I make the game read the iCloud save files? I used iCloud so my game can have my storage but I didn't know it would lose all my saves.

I have no idea if those are your saves as I don't help with Modded games which your game is so the saves are in a completely different format and location to where they would normally be. The Mods forum is here https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-and-Mod-CC-Issues/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-issues-mods-en Perhaps you can ask for help with your modded save files there as it is a separate issue to iCloud.
Please read the opening post so you fully understand iCloud and the effect having it enabled has on the game if you run out of internal storage. You cannot get the game to read your saves if they are in iCloud.
