Forum Discussion
I opened the game after a few months of not playing (I hadn't changed or touched anything) and my game had no mods. I checked my settings; mods were enabled and there were mods in my folder, but there were none in the list of mods. I've already looked at quite a few other forums and I've tried following those but they either didn't help or weren't the same situation I'm in.
So far I've tried :
1. disabling mods, closing and reopening the game and enabling mods, then closing and reopening it again
2. moving my mods folder out of the sims4 folder, hoping that it would create a new one (it didn't)
3. checking for updates in my game
4. doing 1&2 together (like, moving the folder, then disabling mods, then moving the folder back and enabling mods again.)
5. repairing my game
I'm assuming my mods folder is broken or not working for some reason and I've tried to fix it/create a new one but its made no difference.
I'm really frustrating to be honest, so any help would be really appreicated
(edit : my formatting was weird)

Can you open the Options.ini file in the Sims 4 folder, it should open in TextEdit, and find the line where it says modsdisabled. What value does it have, 0 or 1?

Hi, thanks for the reply, it says 0.

Thanks, that confirms Mods are enabled. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*Mods*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here. This is searching your Mac user account for every folder with Mods in the name. It will show up if there is a Mods folder somewhere the game won't load it.
