Thanks, that confirms Mods are enabled. Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*Mods*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here. This is searching your Mac user account for every folder with Mods in the name. It will show up if there is a Mods folder somewhere the game won't load it.

it comes up with "/Users/Me/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods"

Thanks. Your issue is iCloud pushing your files to the cloud so your game can't read the folder. See the opening post on page 1 of this help thread I've moved your posts into for further explanation and help.- 2 years ago@Bluebellflora thank you for your help!
