Thanks. This:
/Users/t(MY NAME)/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4
is the only place the game will be loading data from (I'm assuming the "t" after /Users is an error where you didn't fully remove your user account name). All other locations will be ignored. What is in the saves folder in that location?

Nothing at all.
And yes that was my error not removing the "t"

Ok. You need to move your saves from where you've been moving stuff around to that saves folder. The locations to look in for the saves are:
/Users/(MY NAME)/Library/Mobile Documents/.Trash/Electronic Arts_bkp/The Sims 4 /Users/(MY NAME)/Library/Mobile Documents/.Trash/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4
You will probably need to login to iCloud in a web browser to access those files as you've trashed them.
Here:
/Users/(MY NAME)/iCloud Drive (Archive)/Desktop/FROM DRIVE/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4
and here:
/Users/(MY NAME)/Documents/Electronic Arts/Electronic Arts 2/The Sims 4
- 2 years ago@Bluebellflora I was finally able to do the steps you provided and they worked!! Thank you!! I got MOST of my saves back, not all of them but it's ok because at least I don't have to start all the way over. It still won't recognize my mods that I downloaded, but that's a problem for a different day ❤️
