Says im not connected to the internet when I am?

I downloaded Sims 4 on an external drive yesterday, downloaded the EA app just fine and then downloaded Sims 4 with no issues. 

When I tried to open it, it says that Im not connected to the internet, and Sims 4 needs internet to open. I checked, and my wifi is fine. Everything else works. I tried to restart my Mac, but that didn't help. 

Any advice would be super awesome, anything ive seen on this issue hasn’t been solved and the post is from 4+ years ago. Thank you!!
