sims 4 for mac won't connect to gallery

i have the sims 4 on mac and the game plays fine. it just will not connect to the gallery. i have tried all the troubleshooting steps i can find (looking at firewalls on computer, antivirus, router-- trying to go offline, then back online, etc) and i still can not get it to work. i also tried to login to the gallery just through the web and when i do it says that my email or password for origin is incorrect. i've changed it three times and made sure i am typing it the exact same way and it will not let me login through the web. has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any suggestions? any help is appreciated. this is an awesome feature of the game and ive waited sooo long to have this on mac and now it wont work lol (also im posting this from a different origin account as mine will not work ☹️)

Do you have any CC installed? If so, remove the CC, restart your game and see if you can connect to the Gallery. You should be able to connect as the issue seems to be related to having CC installed.

Do you have the online access option under options in the game and if so, is that active ?

Do you maybe have an underage account ?

yes i have it. its been checked the whole time. ive even tried checking and unchecking it to see if that would help. no underage account here, im almost 23 haha

Why ? Did they not find anything wrong with your account ? I mean if you can't even correctly log in ?

I am having the same problem☹️ i'm thinking it's a Mac thing because it works on my PC. Every time I try to get on the gallery it just loads and says not able to connect.

im sorry whats a CC? Because im having the same problem. it just stays loading for ever.

CC is content that you download from the Internet: furniture, clothes, hair styles, mods...

CC is short hand for "Custom Content". It is usually items for the game that are made by third party creators for this game or any game. Normally, you can find it on fan sites or larger sites.
