Sims 4 game wont launch

i just downloaded the sims 4 game and ea app a couple of hours ago and my game wont launch at all i have no custom content or anything and my game wont launch i'm playing on a macbook air 2020 which i'm pretty sure is compatible, but other than that my game will not launch every time i try to launch it pops up on the sidebar then disappears and says "application not responding" i've already cleared cache, repaired the game, restarted my macbook and updated it i've done everything and it still wont launch does anyone have a fix for this i really want to get back on this game.
