That’s the thing - I’m not adding any files from my old game. Just trying to play on a completely new file.
I have a 2022 macbook pro and its last update was macOS 15.1.1
Ok, new save file? You haven't moved any files or folders from the old Sims 4 folder into the new one?
How far exactly into the loading process is the game getting? Is it launching the game window? Is it just bouncing in the Dock? Where exactly do you get ?

Yes - a completely new save file and no files added back in.
I get to The Sims 4 screen, and then it crashes repeatedly on the loading screen where it cycles through the messages (articulating reticulated splines, etc). I cannot get past that screen unfortunately.

Hi there
I have tried this this morning, and I am still having the same issue. So it's definitely game related and not my mac.

@xjfm
If it were definitely game related it would affect every single Mac user. Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the game to see whether your game installation is corrupted? If you have, and it still isn't working, I'm thinking there may be a problem in your OS or possibly hardware related.Which exact model Mac do you have?

Sorry it's taken me all day to reinstall everything but I am still having the same issue.
MacBook Pro 2024 M2 Pro

When you reinstalled did you allow the game access to all locations when the OS prompted? Such as the Documents folder, external drives if relevant etc.
