Sims 4 won't launch - MAC

Since yesterday I am not able to open the sims 4 game. When I click on it in the EA app, the green diamond appears in the screen, however it doesn't open the game but opens the EA app again. I already uninstalled the complete game, removed all caches, tried to move the EA folder to the desktop folder.. however it still doesn't work.

I'm quite upset that I lost all my progress and can't play the game anymore.. spent so many money on it as wel...

Hopefully someone has a solution!

I already tried the clean game folder a couple of times but it doesn't help. I already tried everything that is in your link.. unfortunately this doesn't work. Do you have any other ideas?

What access is enabled for EA App and The Sims 4 in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files & Folders and System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access?

Yes! Full disk access is enabled.

I even tried to create a new admin account and installed the EA app again and the sims 4 including all add ons. It worked for an evening.. the next day the same issue popped up.

Very strange that you had to install the EA App and game again in a new user account. EA App should sit in Macintosh HD > Applications (Origin did by default) therefore accessible to all user accounts and the game should also be accessible for all user accounts. All you should have had to do is login to EA App in the new user account.
