The Sims™ 4 is already running.
[ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]
When I try to open Sims 4 this prompt comes up.
I have tried updating, exiting everything, reinstalling etc...
any ideas?

Are you running Catalina? You need to allow the game to access your Documents folder. You can do this in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy

Depending on which version of macOS you are running it may be System Settings or System Preferences. This Apple article will help you https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh15217/mac- 2 years ago@Bluebellflora hi so i did the instructions provided but the game still says it is already running. I have honestly tried everything at this point but nothing is working. I have uninstalled both sims and origins. created a new account. moved the files to my desktop and still nothing has worked.
any idea what i could do to fix this?
