My sims won't launch and I have no idea what to do.
I had the game before it became free and this has been going on for a few weeks, every time I try to open sims it always says that it's running already even tho it's not. I tried almost everything from deleting and reinstalling sims to restarting my laptop and still, nothing changed. I've also been having problems with cc even tho I have cc enabled in my sims settings it still won't show up. I've seen a lot of people with a similar problem with their game. But does anyone know how to fix this or what i should do?

This is a permissions issue. If your game is installed on an external drive make sure that the operating system has full access to the drive in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy.
In the same System Preferences Location make sure that the game and Origin have have access to Files & Folders.
