23 times to launch the game

i have to try launching my game up to 23 times and restart my computer 2x during this process to actually get in to play. I have tried clearing the game cache and my computer cache. i don't know what else to do to try and fix this. But its getting really frustrating and probably bad for my computer at this point. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

  • WINTER20060  The next time you play, try forcing the game to open in windowed mode.  Open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).  You want the fullscreen setting, not anything else with "fullscreen" in the name.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • WINTER20060  Sorry for the late reply.  What happens when you try to open the game but it doesn't work?  If you get an error, please post a screenshot, and either way, describe what you see on-screen.

If you use any mods or custom content at all, please also test with your Mods folder removed.

I will upload pics as soon as I play again. No error codes. No mods or cc. I hit launch, then  it just gives me a spinning dial, or a weird partial box with big xox I believe, or it acts like it's going to load and freezes. I have windows 11 and enough room on the computer to play it so I'm confused as to why it's acting like this.
