has5eov3l75y Please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
thank you, unfortunately, after moving the folder to the phone, the game cannot be started. I tried the second method, but I don't know what to do after moving DxDiag to the desktop.

has5eov3l75y Please update the driver for your graphics chip, which is a few years old. Here's the newest driver from Intel:
You want the 7th-10th gen driver, dated September 3. Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, please disable your virtual display software, at least as a test. You should be able to shut it down in the Task Manager; please check the background processes list too.

has5eov3l75y The virtual display software might be part of a larger software package. And that's not always easy to find, although this particular software is apparently made by Huawei, according to the dxdiag. So please try disabling Huawei apps first, and if it doesn't help, try playing in a clean boot:
The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run. Disable the rest as described.
When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, really anything not from Microsoft or Intel. If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.
Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window. If this doesn't help either, repeat the test, except with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
This is simply a test, not a fix, but whether it works or not, the result is helpful information.

has5eov3l75y I'm not ready to give up yet. I understand if you are, but I'd be happy to keep trying. If you want to as well, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account. You'll be able to launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user content won't be available.

has5eov3l75y The initialization error is usually related to an overly active antivirus. So please set exceptions in yours for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64; or the entire Bin folder they're in. Set an exception for EADesktop.exe as well. You may need to repair the game (again) afterwards.
unfortunately i did all that and my game still has no text and the same window still pops up on the other one. unfortunately that didn't help either.
has5eov3l75y Were you ever able to play in the new, local admin Windows account? If not, please try it again, just to see whether the problem is still there.
So I tried playing in a new Windows local administrator account, unfortunately the problem still persists.
has5eov3l75y What antivirus do you use? Does it help to temporarily disable the antivirus? As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and you can reenable the AV as soon as you're done testing Sims 4.
You may need to repair the game after disabling the AV and before trying to play.
I'm using AVG and I turned it off and fixed the game but it's still the same.
