Access to save game struggles

<span;>Hello everyone

<span;>I really need help please

<span;>Yesterday I played Sims 4 for about 4 hours and as usual I save every half hour; and this morning, big surprise! when I restarted the game; all of yesterday's progress is gone.

The home who  appears on my saved game is the home that I played on my last game, but when I launch it, the game won't lead me  to this but to the home saved before that (the day before yesterday)

<span;>Action I did:
<span;>I have already tried to restore the game by creating a new Sims 4 document as I read in the forums; but in vain

<span;>I have already modified the names of the backups to see which one is corrupted but also in vain

<span;>I deleted the cache files but in vain too

<span;>Now if I play and save my game, and then I exit and restart the game, I can't play whatI saved.. The game always lead me to the saved one dated the day before yesterday

<span;>, the My saved game is totally diffrent from the "Resume'

<span;>PS: I don' t have the last pack yet

Help me please!

  • @MireilleSims  Does this happen if you use "save as" rather than "save," and does it happen with a new save too?  Please test both for comparison's sake.

Please also let me know whether the timestamp on the save file updates when you save.  You can find the file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves.

Finally, let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

Of course my files are saved at Documents-electronics arts

I even tried to create a new game folder but noo

    The problem is still here!

@MireilleSims  When I mentioned where your saves are, I actually wanted to know whether the saves' timestamps update each time you save.  I listed the location in case you didn't know, so you wouldn't need to ask; but the timestamps are what I care about.

Please also let me know whether OneDrive is running on this computer.  Even if you never use it, OneDrive could be interfering with your user files.  Look for a cloud icon in the lower-right corner of your screen, or hidden in the Tray (^ icon).  If you see it, right-click it and pause syncing, then see whether your progress is saved.

If this doesn't help, or OneDrive isn't running at all, please let me know what antivirus you use.
