I don't see any option for "repair game" - the only options I have are:
Play (greyed out)
View game details
Remove from favourites
Check for update
Customise box art
Game properties
I'm on Windows 8 if that makes a difference? I'm completely at a loss here.

Try logging out, closing Origin fully, opening it again as administrator (right click), and log in with you email instead of you username.
