Alice's Sorrow Broken?

I am playing through the mission, and I can get through everything but "Find Edith" her friendship bar with my sim is basically full and she stays angry, and I still cannot ask about Alice's sorrow. Whenever my cursor hovers over that chat option it says that I need to ask Alice as if I am starting over at the beginning.

If I go to Alice like the chat option says, I can't find any dialogue related to the mission. Am I missing something? Do I need to try and repair/delete+redownload the pack??
