All of my packs are missing in-game? (PC)

The launcher shows all my packs are downloaded and installed but missing when I launch the game. It tells me I don't have them installed, but I'm pretty sure I do?

I've been having issues for literal years at this point, and it's so frustrating to contact customer service only for them to continue to close my cases without ever contacting me. Or worse, they send me some generic message when I've already explained that I've done all the things they're suggesting. (Sorry for the rant 😛)

The game is up to date.

I don't use CC or mods.

@DarlingNamine  Did you specifically try downloading the packs again?  You can do so through the EA App: open your game library, click Sims 4, select Manage > Manage Add-ons, and find your missing packs on the list.

If that doesn't work, please run another search for your missing packs and post the results.

  • @DarlingNamine  If you have the CAS Demo installed, please see this thread:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/EA-App-claims-packs-are-installed-yet-they-are-not/td-p/12126024

Otherwise, please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one of the missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

Hi <3 Thanks for trying to help!

I know I used to have the CAS demo installed, but I don't see it anywhere in my library in the launcher, so I'm assuming that means it's not there anymore?

Also, I hope this is what you wanted me to send you.

@DarlingNamine  You do still have the CAS Demo installed, specifically here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4 Create a Sim Demo

If you have no use for the demo anymore, you can simply delete this entire folder and reinstall your missing packs.  If you do want to keep the demo, rename it instead.  If you get an error when trying to rename it, open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.

I deleted the demo, but it didn't seem to fix anything. Is there another step I missed? Also, I just repaired my game, do I actually need to uninstall it?

Thank you so much! My EPs are all there, now hopefully all my other packs will work as well. It's so exciting to have my game back. <3
