Best budget laptop or pc for Sims 4 in the UK
- 3 months ago
ellarb27 I'm not seeing a lot of true gaming laptops available for £600, but these two are good quality:

https://ao.com/product/fa506nfhn008w-asus-tuf-gaming-a15-laptop-black-104743-251.aspxThey have the same graphics card, one capable of running all current Sims 4 content on at least a mix of high and ultra graphics settings. Whether you could play on ultra settings depends on your play style and what other content you might add to the game, for example high poly cc or Reshade would place higher demands on the graphics card.
Both laptops have processors that outpace the graphics card, plus 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, which is more than enough for Sims 4.
For non-gaming laptops, I would definitely recommend getting 16 GB RAM, which, while not strictly necessary for Sims 4, will help with multitasking and will become more important for general use as time goes on. Pairing that with a graphics chip that can run Sims 4 on at least medium-high settings, you have a lot of options, starting around £450. Here are a few examples; for the first, make sure you're clicking the £430 option with the Ryzen 7 7730U processor.

https://www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/product.aspx?id=A44SBEA&opt=ABU&sel=NTBActually, I just found this one on clearance for even cheaper; it's in the same performance category as the ones above:

Another option is to get a somewhat-faster graphics chip, still not at the level of the one in the gaming laptops above but at least good enough for high settings if not high-ultra. Most of these are closer to £600, at least right now. But they sometimes come with a prettier, high-resolution screen, like this one:

This one is also £600 with an equivalent graphics chip and an OLED screen, but just a standard resolution:
I did find this, in the same performance category but without any other upgrades, for £500:

As you can see, you have a lot of options here, depending on what kind of performance you're looking for and how much money you want to spend. So you can be picky about the details. If you do decide you want a non-gaming laptop but don't like any of these, let me know why, and I can try to find something more to your liking. There are plenty of laptops out there with similar hardware; I just picked the cheapest ones of good-enough quality to recommend.
And if you have more questions, about these or in general, please feel free to ask.
