Can I install Sims 4 onto PC and then onto a Mac computer?

Yes you can.

Download the Origin client for Mac on your Mac and then login with your account.

The mac version will be there to download. Since Mac doesn't work with the disc, you need to download it through Origin.

You won't need to redeem the code again

I have already done this, but it won't accept the game code as the game is already registered.

Could it be that it can only be registered under one Origin account?

I never had this issue with the Sims 3 at all.

Did you login with the account you registered it on on your mac ? Does it not show up in my games ?

No, long story short my sister wants to play it (I'm fine with it, I own the game) and thought it would be a good idea if she made her own account on the Mac.

So basically I/she has to be signed in on my account to be able to play the game I paid for?

Would saved games still be on there from previous sim sessions on the PC?

Ah, that makes a whole lot of sense and has answered my question!

I don't mind her using my log in at all - I'd just let her know when I want to play.

I've been distracted with a lot of other things lately so again, I don't really mind!

I just thought she could register her own account and use my key to gain access is all.

Super happy that I won't have to share saves with her, too.

I'm also assuming she'll have access to all my expansion packs too?

It's like as if you would play on two computers.

She will need to install everything on the mac though

Let's put it this way.

Only one person can be online at the same time.

You can play Sims 4 in offline mode.

But how would I go about logging into Origin though as that tends to need an internet connection?

It does say I can play offline but could I disconnect my internet for instance, then play in offline mode and then we could be playing the same game at the same time, in the same account without issue? I thought it would keep you out of the account if I tried to log in now (she is currently in my account downloading all the games now) that it wouldn't allow me to?
