Ok people, I need HELP!I brought The Sims 4 Limited Edition (disc), after installing it, when I click play it comes up with this error message "We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims 4 Limited Edition on this computer using your account. Please try again later." I have googled to my hearts content and even spoken to an advisor on EA Live Chat TWICE and after following the instructions im still receiving this message. I just want to play the darn game. Can anyone help me? Im not very computer savvy so really need it put in simple terms (sorry!) From what I have read on google, I've turned my firewall off and my anti-virus is expired so no longer have that either, so I know its not either of them stopping it. I have all the right running components to play it but nothing is working. Please help! I don't want to have wasted $80 to not be able to play it! Im in Australia if that helps any? I found it on another AnswersHQ forum post, maybe it's gonna work for you aswell:Open Internet Explorer (even if you have another default web browser installed!) and go to www.Origin.com but do not login. Click the little gear wheel in the top right corner of the browser.Click Internet OptionsClick Security TabClick Trusted SitesClick Sites in the little boxA window should pop up & you need to have the origin web address (www.origin.com) in the 'add this website to the zone' box.Click AddClick CloseHope it works for you aswell! Give it a try.

i had this same problem as well.......tried everything from every google search....finally tried something that worked.....go to origin, then click file....go offline....it worked for me, hope it helps

Hey,Thanks for that, unfortunatley it didn't work for me ☹️ It's still coming up with the same error message. I think my last options are to either wait for the expert team to get back to me, but i'm not sure how long that could take. Or call EA support themselves and have my phone bill haye me.Thanks for trying to help though, much appreciated.

I don't know if this will help either, but its telling me to install vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86. I have the 86 one but every time I click on it, it tells me to repair it, I've done that but it comes up with the repair button again :/ and the 64 one it says that I can't get it on my computer as its only available on windows XP sp1 and newer platforms but I have XP sp3

Go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall then click the lock and enter your password. Now click on Firewall Options, is Origin showing up with allowed connections?

Are you using any kind of VPN software or a 3rd party Firewall?

I'm also having this problem only I don't have Internet access at all. I installed origins and TS4 online last night and it worked okay. Then it asked me to activate my game through EA and it worked fine so I shut my computer down and went back to my internetless house. When I turned it on at home it came up again. I thought it would be a one and done thing so I never considered having to do it again but I can't because I don't have Internet access. I just don't understand why if it worked the first time online it keeps asking me to do it offline. This isn't the first time I've played TS4 either and I know the servers aren't down because it's 2016 now the servers wouldn't be down for a whole year. I've googled everything and tried every suggestion but nothing has worked. Someone please help me I'm so upset

Did you try login in offline ? Does that not work ?

Normally if you don't have Internet, you still have to login but you do that offline. Then you can start the game in offline mode. You won't have access to the gallery of course.

If you get a can't connect error, did you check if the game is actually showing on your account or at what point are you getting it ?

Also are you on PC or Mac ?
