Can't redeem codes

Hi,

I've bought some expansion packs for Sims 4 and tried to redeem the codes, but it doesn't work in the EA App or on the EA website. It always says it's invalid or there was a problem. Even though I can see on the website that it's the right game after first adding the code. 

Is there any bug right now? None of my 4 codes works.

    Rosevcherry Hi, I'm having the exact same problem. Have they gotten back to you with a solution, or were you able to fix it?

  • yelMEJlow  To be clear, are you trying new codes, ones you've never used before, on the account where they don't work?  A used code wouldn't be accepted again, on the same account or any other.  And did you ever buy or register the same pack(s) on this account, either in EA or through Steam or Epic?  I'm wondering whether an existing copy of a pack, still valid or not, is blocking your ability to register a new one.

  • I'm having this same problem!! Since yesterday my EA App and EA's Redeem Code website haven't been working, all the codes are treated as invalid. I know you can't redeem a code twice, but naturally when I put these codes I would get a pop-up saying which pack the code is and then it would tell me that the code has already been redeemed, but lately it just tells me that the code is invalid, which doesn't happen in other EA accounts I've tested, it's a problem with my account, a problem with code recognition.

  • Setubalenses  This is the kind of issue that needs to be checked by EA customer support.  I would strongly recommend a live chat rather than email, so you can explain  and test in real time.  If you don't see the option, try a slightly different category of issue.  Alternately, you can use the website without signing in.  Most of the categories that allow you to proceed without an active login also offer the live chat option.

    Support may be limited or closed for the next couple of days due to the holiday, but it's usually back online sometime on the 26th.

  • Thank you very much for the tips!! I waited until the 26th and was going to follow the steps, but it seems that after several days, in a Christmas miracle, my account returned to normal on its own 🥳🥳

    So I hope these messages help other simmers who may have this problem in the future!! If it doesn't return to normal on its own in a few days, it is advisable to follow these steps. But in general there's no need to worry, just to wait 😉👍

    Hey! So this is happening to me right now. They are brand new, never redeemed before codes. It just keeps saying invalid and won't go through.

    Hi, mine was purchased through xbox and I emailed it to my email address for my pc but the code wont work.

    If a code was purchased through the Xbox website, that means the code will only work on your Xbox- you won't be able to redeem this code for your PC as these codes are platform specific. 

    You can reach out to Xbox support for a refund on this purchase here
