Cant use cheats

I know how to open the text box for the cheats. I know what to type in to turn the cheats on, but every time I open the text box the cursor is there and blinking in the box but when I type- nothing shows up. I have a PC laptop. Please help! I don't have any mods or anything like that.

Andria2014 Does this happen with the game in windowed mode as well? Please try it if you haven't already.

If that doesn't or didn't help, please disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well, under Settings > Application.
