city living trial

There are only a trial of the base game not of any packs.

Correction a trial of City living became available a little earlier today.

Is the picture I attached what showed up for you? If so, then the same thing happened to me, it kept telling me that the pack wasn't downloaded and told me to restart. When I clicked restart, the same thing kept happening. In my case, I tried to see if I could uninstall the trial and reinstall it, but the trial literally just wasn't downloaded when I checked my installation directory. If that still doesn't work, maybe try reinstalling Origin itself, I'm going to try that and I'll update you if it works or not!

You are correct they did indeed start a trial of City Living.

For your issue please read this explanation:

Why does it ask me to Restart The Sims 4 when switching between Trial Saves and my existing Saves?

The Sims 4 will ask you if you want to restart your game so that it can include or exclude the City Living Trial from your current session.

Selecting to restart when going back to a non-trial save will keep the City Living Trial on your PC/Mac for when you want to come back to the trial later. When you want to play with City Living again, load a saved game or start a new trial save and you’ll be asked to restart the game so that City Living can be included in your session for as long as the trial is available.

Yep! Just as I expected, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Origin Client and the pack started downloading, and once that finished, I was able to play the trial!!!

This is not working for me do you have any other workarounds? when I check my download manager the trial is not even there. and when I look in my game library it says new expansion pack ready for install but does not allow me to install. If I click update game it just tells me that the game is up to date, any help anyone can offer will be great.

It is not working for me either it keeps telling me to restart the game over and over and on Origin it says that I can install an expansion pack yet no download button works. I have tried to repair my game, uninstall origin, and restart my computer, nothing works, and I'm mad xD.

same :/ this sucks because i really want to try city living, I'm even considering just buying it lol

This did not work for me, I've tried looking for the downloaded content in my sims 4 files and it was not there, I've tried re-installing origin, restarting my computer, repairing the game multiple times, attempting to update the game, restarting the sims 4 as it asked when I tried to load up the free trial, and searching through many forums on how to fix this. please help it says I have it but I don't, and it is not giving me any other option then to not play the trial, or pay for the expansion.
This sucks because city living is in my top 3 favorite packs and I was super excited to see the free trial, but now I'm upset that I might not be able to play it anyways.
