Config.log: 'Unable to read graphics device parameters. (code: 1)'

I should preface this with the fact that I am running Bootcamp on Mac, I have downloaded official and appropriate drivers, checked for my graphics card in the GraphicsCard.sgr, and also restarted, installed and uninstalled the graphics driver, and did a corrupt file scan. All of this resulted in nothing, I hope someone can help me?

I have included my DxDiag.txt file in the attachment.

Additional information: I have installed Gshade, but did not run the game prior to installing it.

  • @kainough  If you're still having this issue, please get rid of GShade and repair the game: open your EA App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair.  Then, without making any changes at all, try to play.

If it doesn't work, try forcing the game to open in windowed mode.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

If that doesn't work either, please post a screenshot of the error you see.
