Continuous loading

I'm EXTREMELY frustrated right now. For about a week straight after updating, whenever I try to leave a household or move in between worlds, my game just stays on the blue loading screen but still flashes tips. It also does it when trying to leave CAS. I can't even play a household or create one to play without this happening. It's like my Sims can only play on the lot they're on the whole entire gameplay, and I'm sorry but that's just not okay and definitely not how I play. It makes me not even want to play anymore and just gives me anxiety. I've been playing since the beginning, and The Sims is my happy place. Can someone PLEASE help with a fix? Here's more info:

  • -Removed mods (UI Cheats, MCC, Carl's Dineout Fix, Childbirth Mod, Hospital Mod)
  • -Repaired 5x
  • -Cleared caches & last exceptions
  • -Confirmed drivers were up to date
  • -Force stopped several times (lost count and haven't had to do that in years)
  • -Windows is up to date
  • -More than enough memory and ram
  • -Restarted laptop after every tweak
  • -MSI SteelSeries Gaming Laptop (Intel Corei5 9th Gen - Nvidia Geforce GTX)
  • -40.5GB space left

I've done everything except uninstall and reinstall the EA app, but only because I don't think that would be helpful. Thanks so much in advance ♥

  • LovelyGelina  Have you tried playing in a clean user folder yet?  If not, please do that now.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  If it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.

Otherwise, when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether the same problem happens.

If it does, repeat the test, but this time with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

If this doesn't help either, look for a new lastexception file.  If you find one, copy its text and paste it into a reply here, or upload it to a third-party filesharing site and link it here.
