corrupted file

i was downloading some cc earlier and am trying to run sims and it keeps saying there is a corrupted file. i have deleted the one it says is corrupted, but i keep getting the pop up. i also tried to download origin, but i cannot log in because it says i need to be online. how to fix???

  • conangrayfart​  Origin is fully dead now, so don't bother with that.  You can repair the game through the EA App (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair) or through Steam (Sims 4 > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files).

    Having said that, does the game work with no custom content present?  If so, try downloading the items using a different browser, in case your main browser is corrupting the downloads.  Try a few different items that are confirmed compatible with the current patch (1.115).

    Additionally, if you've created your own Resource.cfg file, please delete it and load the game so it creates its own copy.
