crashing game
everytime i come out of build mode or the gallery my game crashes and i cant access anything so i need to restart my pc as it wont lwt me close the game but my sims still move as normal

could it be cc breaking it or one of my mods?
carolinestylesx Up to date doesn't necessarily mean fully working, so you'll still need to test everything. Do so in batches, or use the 50/50 method:

This keeps happening to me when my mods are on. Can’t figure out which one it is and all the main ones are up to date. I’m also having issues where the bottom ui is whacky and not showing my sim and not letting me switch sims. Very strange
Skelding06 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
