hello,
I have recently come across your forum in an attempt to be able to play sims 4. I have not played the game in a long time and seen that there was a horse ranch dlc i wanted to play so i bought it and tried to play to end up getting this same message. I have followed all of the steps in this post, making a new admin account on my pc did not fix the issue. Steps I have done outside of this post:
- complete new reinstall of sims 4 and ea app, including using tools to remove any potential leftover files
- verified integrity of files post new install just in case
- cleared ea cache after fresh install again
I have attached the dxdiag and i really hope there can be a resolution as I can play other steam games just fine. I am running windows 10 and have this game version os sims 4: 1.120.117.1030
