legit just downloaded the sims 4 a couple weeks ago cause some friends of mine said i might love it and i thought i might as well check it out. I downloaded it and played it for a while then went on and got some mods. After playing a couple more times with mods i got the error saying "Error: There is a problem with your game's setup, please reinstall your game".
Really don't wanna do that cause it took me like a day or two to download it in the first place and i've seen other people on here saying that reinstalling it didn't even work. Already tried forcing the digital 9x thingy and i cant download any drivers since i dont have the graphic compatibilities? let a dude know if this means that i just cant use the game anymore or what
much love :D
hello! i installed sims 4 recently since i got a brand new gaming laptop. it has a rtx 4050 gpu and intel i7 cpu. i originally installed mods. it let me go to the cas screen, but wouldn't let me into my household past that. now, since yesterday, it won't start the game at all. it just says please reinstall the game and whatnot, so i did. i even repaired the game files through steam and it said everything looked good but it still will not start. ive done everything i possibly could. it's still loading that screen for me, and honestly im glad im not the only one with this issue so i feel less alone on the matter. i really don't know what to do at this point. like others had mentioned i ran the dxdiag and it said no problems were found on anything.

nt84uvnd4cho If you haven't already, please move or rename the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts.
If that doesn't or didn't help, I'd like to see the dxdiag for myself. Please also let me know what antivirus you use. And confirm the error you're seeing as well. It sounds like one particular error that's been rare up until the last day or so, and that has only appeared in very specific contexts; and I'd like to figure out why it's more common now and happening outside of the known causes.
Edit: I have a couple other suggestions here:
