StarZee22 There's nothing obvious in your dxdiag, but that's not a surprise given that the game is likely being prevented from launching rather than crashing. What antivirus do you use? It's possible that that's the problem. If you'd rather test yourself first, disable the AV entirely, repair the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair), and try again to play. As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.
If that doesn't help, then as a test, try playing in a new admin Windows account. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address. You'll be able to (try to) launch the game without reinstalling anything.
This error has mostly appeared in cases of players running Windows 7, or an N version of 10 or 11, but that's not the case for you. So I'd like to figure out what else can cause the error.
puzzlezaddict I tried playing in the new admin windows account, but it ended up being unsuccessful.
My EA game won't let me repair the game either, when I click manage, the drop down only shows manage add-ons, so I'm not sure what to do about that. I don't know if it's an EA or Steam problem.
