Hi, I am using a translator. My English might be broken.
In January 2023 I made an update from Origin to EA.
There was no problem playing the Sims at the time. The save file and the mod file remained the same.
I turned on the Sims after 7 months,
I updated it.
But I found out.deleted all my saves and mods
I attach an image.
As you can see, I left a trace of playing the game in January 23.
I want to know. Can an EA update forcefully delete all save files, mod files, and screenshots? Looks like It've installed a new game.
I can't play the game because I'm worried. Do you back up all your files every time?
@shingo9873 I've merged your post with the master thread about disappearing saves. The short answer is no, the EA App cannot delete your saves and other user content during an update. However, the App reserves a lot of extra storage when updating a game, and depending on how much space your computer has left, that could trigger OneDrive to move files to cloud storage. This isn't the only cause of the error, just the most common. Please see the first post on page one for more details.
