error message The Game has run out of memory

I pre-ordered Legacy and now I get attached error message when I try to load game. I have cleared cache, I have repaired and even uninstalled and re-installed nothing is fixing the problem. Please advise. Also this is my second report ID a561fe0e-c002-4b0b-a601-719a3162950f

3rd time bug being reported. I dont understand whats going on

  • tracysjewel​  Please check your antivirus for any recent actions involving Sims 4.  Despite the text of the error message, this is most commonly associated with an antivirus blocking the game, especially on computers that had no trouble running it previously.

    If you don't see anything from your antivirus, let me know which one you use, in case there's something going on with that software in particular.

    Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • I had the same issue yesterday, and kept thinking it can't be the antivirus because I don't have one, I only use Microsoft Defender... but yes, indeed, Microsoft Defender was the issue. I added exclusions to the ransomware and virus protection settings for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe and now it works again!😃
